Squarespace Website VIP Day

You have 100 tabs open, you’re frustrated, and your website still doesn’t look right? Or, maybe you haven’t even started because there are SO MANY options out there and it’s tough to pick the right one.

I get it. If you’ve been burned by a website designer in the past, or you’re so sick of trying to make your website work it can feel all-consuming. I mean, you didn’t start a business to worry about a website. You started a business to focus on your genius, to serve clients, and to give yourself the financial freedom you’ve been hearing so much about.

Let’s make websites fun again. Or, really, to start let’s just make it simple. Because that’s the best way to get your site live so that you can get back to focusing on what matters most, your business and your clients.

Intrigued?

Here’s what you need to know about Squarespace websites done in a day.

Its a collaboration

You know your business best, and I know websites. Let’s put those two things together to create a site you’re proud to show off! You write the copy and provide the imagery and I’ll do the rest.

It’s quick

Literally, the name says it all. Your website will be done in one day. Once we have all the pieces, all we’ll need to do is put them together!

It’s easy

Once your Squarespace design day arrives, you can sit back and relax with your favorite caffeinated drink of choice while I do the work! Once I delver the site, it’s just a bit of feedback back and forth to get things just right.

It’s transparent

After the 100th story clients told me about designers ghosting them, I knew we could do things differently. With VIP days you know when I’m working and, even more importantly, you know when your site will be live! (No joke, I had a client book her launch party for the same weekend because she knew the timeline ahead of time!)

I’m sure by now you’re wondering: What’s the catch?

Honestly, there isn’t one. With the prep work we do together, and the resources you’ll receive, everything will be in good shape to just GSD.

But even more than that, it’s important to recognize that your website will change. It will grow with your business and a lot of times my clients need that strong foundation to build on top of. That’s why I place a huge emphasis on training. If you can’t edit your own website, what’s the point?!

Why choose Squarespace?

Let’s talk about why Squarespace and service-based business websites. My personal philosophy is that the best website for you is the one you feel most comfortable with. The one that you’re so comfortable with that making updates is a breeze. Otherwise, your website is going to require a massive overhaul every year!

Squarespace is simple

It is a powerhouse website builder that does everything a service-based business should need, and it is clear and easy to navigate. But also, it’s easy for clients to jump in and edit themselves, without me! (Yes, my goal is to work myself out of a job!)

Squarespace is all-in-one

There aren’t any plugins, any additional security add-ons needed or even additional software for checkouts. Squarespace’s subscription takes care of everything from security to hosting and features like forms, scrolling text, video embeds, charts, instagram feeds, even amazon affiliate links are native to the platform. That means there’s nothing to keep up with and nothing to break.

Squarespace is pretty

Let’s be honest, the number one reason clients look for a designer is because they want their site to look a certain way. The strategy and flow are important, yes! But the built-in blocks of Squarespace make it easy to create a streamlined, beautiful website that you’ll be proud to show off.

Tell me your Squarespace VIP Day process

Before your design day

Totally! Let’s get right down to business. When you book your website with me I’ll send you a proposal, contract, and invoice. Your deposit secures your design day on my calendar, and then we get to work!

First things first, I deliver you lots of goodies! My site that sells workbook helps you learn a bit more about writing for the web, and I also share how to take the best photos for your website, and even launch once we’re done!

In addition to that You’ll get a couple of forms. The first is a streamlined way for me to understand your business, your design preferences, and get all those pesky passwords collected! And the second, shares an outline that helps you write copy that lets your business shine and talks directly to your ICA.

While you’re hard at work, I’ll check in and be available to answer any questions. We’ll have a strategy session the week before your design day and get a solid understanding of what you’re looking for design-wise.

Your Squarespace Design Day

Then, you sit back, relax, and let me put it all together. We’ll create the website that you’ve been picturing in your mind, on the screen. After I work through the morning, I’ll deliver a draft to you, then we collaborate on feedback to get everything just right. Once we agree your site is perfection, I’ll add your domain, and analytics, and submit your site to google search console.

With your thank you note, you’ll receive training that tells you everything you need to know about Squarespace so that you can edit your own website anytime you need.

After your site is live

So then you disappear?

Heck no! I’m in this for the long haul. My goal is to make websites simple, fun, and approachable so I’m here for you whenever you need. If you’re working on an edit that isn’t quite making sense, send me a note and I’ll jump in and send you a video reply with an answer.

I have lots of clients who need to add pages or just want to do a mini message overhaul but can’t find the time to get it done. We’ll work together to make it happen, even after their VIP day has long-passed.
